Year 1 Christmas Performance – Monday 11th December at 9:30am

Please join us for our Christmas story told through pictures, words and songs.

Please can children bring a Christmas jumper or top to change into. Please come to school that day in uniform.

Tickets will be available to purchase from Wednesday 22 November via TicketSource (£2.00 each, limited to 4 tickets per family).

PTFA will be selling raffle tickets to win a Christmas hamper.

Nursery Singing around the Christmas Tree (in Nursery)

Wednesday 13 December 10.45am Yellow & Red parents/friends

Please join us for our mini Christmas concert.

Information regarding costumes will follow.

Please meet at the Nursery entrance. Could we ask that no more than two adults per family attend. Thank you.

Violin Open Rehearsal

Wednesday 13 December at 4.00pm

The violin group will be holding an open rehearsal for their parents, family and
siblings after school. Doors will open at 3.45pm and the rehearsal should last
around 20 minutes.

This will be the last violin group before the holidays – club will start again on
Wednesday 17 January 2018.

Thursday 14 December at 9.30am
Reception Class doors will be open at 8.45am in order to give us time to dress the children.

A letter has already been sent out detailing the costume requirements for your child.

PTFA Secret Shop, Christmas Dinner & Christmas Jumper Day

Information for parents of Nursery and Reception children:

In order to be prepared, we would like to put names on the gift tags in advance. Please send in a list of up to 3 names of the people your child will be buying
for. The ages of any children would also be helpful.

Please send this information in to your child’s Class Teacher by Friday 1 December at the latest.

A more detailed letter will be sent out by the PTFA with regard to the Secret Shop.

Christmas Dinner
Don’t forget to book your child a Christmas Dinner by completing the form that was sent out via ParentMail on 16 November.
The closing date for bookings is Friday 1 December. It would be lovely if as many children as possible could have a school meal on that day. Children will make their choice for Christmas Dinner in class.

Christmas Jumper day in aid of Overgate Hospice
Donate £1 to wear your jumper to school to raise funds for Overgate Hospice.

The party will take place during the normal Nursery session.
Children can come to school in party clothes.
We would welcome small (to feed 5 children) donations of food.

Yellow group: Savoury items, eg crisps, sausage rolls, sandwiches, bread sticks,
cucumber and carrot sticks
Red group: Sweet items, eg fruit, biscuits and cakes
NO PRODUCTS CONTAINING NUTS

Drinks will be provided.
At 11am a special visitor may come to see us! If you would like to join us please
come to the Nursery entrance. Don’t forget your camera!

On 21 December children may come to school in party clothes.
Please could all children bring in some party food, as shown below:

R Poplar: Savoury items such as crisps, sausage rolls or cocktail
sausages (enough for 4 children)
R Hazel: Sweet items such as buns, biscuits or fruit (enough
for 4 children)

Cordial will be provided.

On 21 December children may bring party clothes to change into. Please label any
special or precious clothing to avoid party items getting lost.

We would be grateful if you could send in a small amount of party food (enough
for 2 children).
1 Hawthorn: Savoury items, eg sandwiches, sausage rolls or
crisps.
1 Elder: Sweet items, eg buns, chocolate brownie or fruit.
NO PRODUCTS CONTAINING NUTS

Cordial will be provided.

Year 2 Christmas Party

On 21 December children may bring party clothes to change into. Please label any
special or precious clothing to avoid party items getting lost.

If you would like to donate some party food the following examples or similar
would be greatly appreciated:

Party snacks such as crisps, biscuits, sausage/cheese rolls, sweets, etc (enough
for 2 children).

Cordial will be provided.

Thursday 21 December

Year 3 Christmas Party

Children should come to school in their school uniform. Please send party clothes
and shoes in a carrier bag clearly labelled with their name. They will get changed
after lunch.

We would be grateful if you could send a small amount of party food (enough for 2
children).
3 Oak: Savoury items, eg sandwiches, sausage rolls, crisps.
3 Pine: Sweet items, eg buns, chocolate brownie, fruit.

Cordial will be provided.

Friday 22 December

Year 4, Year 5 & Year 6 Christmas Parties

On 22 December children may come dressed in party clothes or Christmas jumper.

Food – Please can each child bring in a labelled bag: a drink (not fizzy); a packet
of crisps and a biscuit or bun.

The day will include a film and the children can bring in games or toys to play with
at some point during the day. Please do not send in expensive electronic items as
school will not be responsible for any loss or damage.

Friday 22 December

We will be having a non uniform day on the last day of term for all children in school and nursery.
No donation will be requested for non-uniform.
