Math Club
Last week members of year 6 went to a Math club after school on Tuesday from 3.30 until 4.30.
It’s for a competition that we are taking part in as a school; the first round will take place in Bradford at an explore learning center. The final takes place in Cambridge University. We will enter with a team of two girls and two boys.
In their first session the children had a taster of what they would be doing in the actual competition, VERY challenging questions! They played a game called approaching midnight (they played this many times!) and an ancient Inca game ‘Nim Seven’ with counters – who knows what they’ll do next?! Have a go at the games at http://nrich.maths.org/10725 and https://nrich.maths.org/1204
