Universal Infant Free School Meals
All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are eligible for a Universal Infant Free School Meal.
Please also read below for important information on claiming for free school meals as this ensures that we receive funding (Pupil Premium) for your child.
Payment
School meals are currently £2.30 per day and payment must be paid for via Parentmail. Parents can choose to pay for the week, half term or term in advance. Please speak to Hayley Knowles for more information.
Free School Meals Registration
Children in Years 3 to 6 will also be offered a free school lunch if parents are in receipt of any of the welfare benefits listed in the form Free School Meals and Pupil Premium Registration Form. Applications for Free School Meals should be made direct to the Benefits Assessment Unit at Calderdale. You can request a Free School Meals application form from the school office or from the Benefits Assessment Unit (0845-245-8000).
It is important to note that registering for free meals could raise an extra £1320 for our school, to fund valuable support such as extra tuition, additional teaching staff or after school activities.
This additional funding is available from central government for every child whose parent is receiving one of the welfare benefits listed on the form. It is therefore important to sign up for free school meals, even if your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2, so that we receive as much funding as possible.
